Howdy! My name is Michael Steiner and I'm a Hardware Product Lead and Industrial Designer based in Brooklyn, NY
Currently I'm the head of hardware design at Vammo, a Brazilian electric mobility company developing battery charging and swapping technology for delivery couriers using electric motorcycles and mopeds.
I've worked across various industries including transportation & mobility, renewable energy, agriculture, traditional manufacturing, and additive manufacturing.
I led the charging and street Infrastructure development at Uber for their JUMP micromobility system, and prior to that, designed and managed all infrastructure for Social Bicycles starting In 2013. (Social Bicycles eventually rebranded to JUMP and was acquired by Uber In May, 2018.)
I also advise small companies on design & product strategy as well as supply chain and manufacturing.
